... Single payer is the only option that makes sense if we care about affordability, efficiency, quality, and choice. In Utah citizens are organizing to show our support for single payer. Health care is a right, not a commodity. Single payer makes it possible to cover everyone in the most efficient, affordable way and finally gives us choice. The current system does not give the right to choose our physician and hospital. The current health care reform bill still does not give us the right to choose our physician and hospital. Eliminate wasteful administrative overhead of the private health care industry and go for single payer. It's the only option that makes sense. |

... I agree that single payer is the only option that gives us affordable, quality health care with choice. As is, we have no choice. Private health insurance companies control and limit what physicians we can see and what treatments we can have and at what hospitals. Health care is a right. Profit has no place in a health care system. Don't band-aid the current unacceptable system. Single payer is the only way to go. Improved medicare for all! |

... This is capitol control at its worst. Do you really want a 12 month wait for an mri scan to see if you have a brain tumor that could kill you in a matter of months. There is a reason so many Canadians come to America for Health care, because we get it done. If the Government takes over they will have to control who gets health care by limiting who gets seen. How is 1 trillion for 10 years going to pay for an industry that racks up 2.6 trillion a year. I don't know about you but thats some really bad math. Please don't take my freedom, please don't take my rights. I know the Health industry is in bad shape but whenever the Government steps in it fails. Look at our school systems, the forest service and pretty much any "public" area of government control. They are all failing and struggling just to survive. Look at how far behind our children are in school just because the Government has set a mandate on it and basically bled it dry. No you do not want Government in the Health industry, You do not want Government in any industry. If this passes say goodbye to the free world the USA you grew up in or came to live in will no longer Exist. This is the plain and simple truth, look at history for crying out loud. Every society that has been where we are has collapsed on itself....please tell me that is not what you want for this Country that I Love So Much!!!.... |

... As someone who has experienced Canadian health care and whitnessed other national health care plans in action I can definatly tell you Mr. Roznovak never researched the topic. Virtually no Canadians come to the US for heath care, except for those near the boarder and too far away from Canadian providers or those seeking bargains for elective surgery. Wait times for medical attention is vastly shorted than in the states, and wait time for emergency services is virtually non-existent. Twenty years ago I extensively research healthcare costs and found the answer, it was single payer then, it still is single payer. The complete lies being spread by these Republican hate groups have gotten totally out of hand. |

... Single payer is the most logical and the most fair. We should not be paying insurance companies huge sums of money to deny Americans health care. With Medicare for All, there can still be private providers and money to be made. It's not socialism. |

... I am old enough to have witnessed the huge change for the worse that has occurred as for-profit healthcare took over in this country. I've experienced it as both patient and provider, and it is beyond disheartening. Why is it so difficult to recognize that the healthier everyone is, the better off we all are? Mr. Roznovak, you plead for fear rather than facts. No sale. |

... Coverage, coverage, coverage. We don't need no stinkin' coverage! We need care. Coverage is NOT care. Single payer, Medicare for all is the ONLY solution. Everything else is just putting lipstick on a pig. |

... President Obama said that if we wanted to cover EVERYONE single payer was the ONLY way to go. Whatever happened to that goal? Why not cover everyone???? |
